Romantic getaways are something we all crave. Living in the Los Angeles area makes you privy to diverse types of getaways.

If you enjoy the spa. The Langham Huntington in Pasadena, is the perfect vacation spot. This luxurious hotel is 23 acres of lush gardens, historic ballrooms, spacious guest rooms, fine dining, and of course multiple spa options.  With a bar and live music area, there is really no reason you would need to leave their grounds; it simply has everything! If you enjoy the mountains, consider a vacation at Big BearLake. Their slogan is “When you are 7,000 feet closer to the sun, the stress just melts off.” Big Bear offers a wide array of activities from hiking to water craft tours, fishing and kayaking, horseback riding and zip-line tours. Also, depending on the season, there is skiing and surf boarding.  There are also indoor activities like laser tag and indoor ice skating.

In case vineyards are what you are looking for, you can visit Paso Robles.  This city is known for its hot springs, olive oil production, and of course it’s wineries. You could visit a small family winery, like Pipestone Vineyards, which is located in its own secluded valley. Here they produce wines of intense flavor and aroma. There is also Robert Hall winery.  This estate is in the hillside east of Paso Robles.  Here you can enjoy a glass of award-winning wine and tour the underground wine taverns.  Or you could experience the 101 Wine Tour. This tour allows you to experience Paso Robles wine country in a tailor-made way. The tour is designed around your own personal preferences, and you will be able to experience wine, beer, and olive tastings.

Finally, if you enjoy the beach, visit Hammond’s Beach in Santa Barbara.  Hammond’s Beach is a more exclusive Miramar Beach experience, populated mostly by locals. After parking your car in their parking lot, you can take a walk through Hammond’s meadows onto Hammond’s beach, it will be a real treat.
